Mouse Lounge -- Epsiode 016 -- November 29, 2006 (((HEADPHONES STRONGLY RECOMMENDED)))

This week in the Mouse Lounge: A full docket of Disney News from our departments Entertainment, Theme Parks East, Theme Parks West, and Business.

Each week, in From the Vault we sample a clip from a classic Disney film, short, television or radio program, or Disneyland Record. This week we present from September 28th, 1936 the Lux Radio Theater presented by Cecille B. deMille and Walt Disney himself.

Each week we present a high definition ride-through from a Disney Park East and a Disney Park West. This week in Disney Parks West, from Disneyland, we go to the Golden Horseshoe Review and hear Billy Hill and the Hillbillies!

From the Disney Family Museum, learn what inspired the very beginnings of Disneyland, with Walts Trains.

From Disney Parks East, we go to World Showcase and the land of giant trolls and experience, Maelstrom.

Each week we feature a unique take on Disney music. On this podcast, from the early 50s we hear Mouseketeer Darlene Gillespie from the Tutti Camerata arranged second cast album, Alice in Wonderland, In the Golden Afternoon. Annette may have been the Disney Sweetheart, but Darlene was the VOICE!

Enjoy!

Mouse Lounge -- Epsiode 015 -- November 19, 2006 This week in the Mouse Lounge: A full docket of Disney News from our departments Entertainment, Theme Parks East, Theme Parks West, and Business.

Each week we present a high definition ride-through from a Disney Park East and a Disney Park West. I do capture most live audio myself, but will give proper credit when it is due. This week from EPCOT, we go shopping in Mouse Gear and catch the funky mechanical percussive rhythms of the stores soundtrack.

From the Disney Family Museum, the Studio goes to war!

From Disney Parks West, we duck into the Main Street Penny Arcade for a listen to the old orchestrion along the back wall of the store.

Each week we feature a unique take on Disney music. On this podcast, from Cinderella, we hear a cappella powerhouse, Take 6, and The Work Song.

In From the Vault we sample a clip from a classic Disney film, short, television program, or Disneyland Record. This week we unearth the twenty-three year-old VHS cassette, The Wonderful World of Disney Double Feature and play a clip from Goofing Around With Donald Duck. This is a rare treat since this trip through Ludwig von Drake and Ranger of Brownstone hilarity still languishes in the Disney archives.

Enjoy (bump bump!)
