A familiar tune from a very funny cartoon, "The Humphrey Hop" from the Disney short, "In The Bag" gets a Mouse Lounge Mix treatment.  The song was so popular it was re-arranged and provided lyrics and released in 1956 as a single.

This week, the Mouse Lounge gets soaked, under the sea!

In From the Vault we sample a clip from a classic Disney film, short, television or radio program, or Disneyland Record.   This week, we journey to the bottom of the beautiful briny sea and bob along with Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson in this classic scene from the 1971 motion picture, “Bedknobs and Broomsticks”!

From the Disney Company Archives:  Take a plunge into the depths of the Making of the Little Mermaid.

Next, join Gary, Jim, and Liana behind the Mickey Bar at the all new Trader Sam’s where we sit with martini in hand and chat about the new haunt at the Disneyland Hotel, and an all new attraction in Disney California Adventure.

Each show we present a high definition ride-through from a Disney Park East or a Disney Park West.   This week we board our clamshell conveyance and again dive under the sea to enjoy, The Little Mermaid, Ariel’s Under Sea Adventure.

We'll close this week’s show with a pair of covers from The Little Mermaid Soundtrack.  From 2002’s, Disneymania, first, the A-Teens in an infectious bubble gum pop and highly danceable, “Under the Sea” followed by a beautiful pop arrangement of “Part of Your World” performed by a pre-Daisy Duke Jessica Simpson.

This week on the Mouse Lounge, we glimpse into the future, Disney style.

Each week, in From the Vault we sample a clip from a classic Disney film, short, television or radio program, or Disneyland Record.   This week, from 1979 we journey to the future then beyond time, into The Black Hole!

From the Walt Disney Family Museum:  Walt Disney was a filmmaker, a showman, and a brilliant storyteller; but he was also a futurist, way ahead of his time.  Learn how Walt saw the future.  His optimism is positively infectious.

From the Walt Disney Archives:  Leonard Maltin interviews the incomparable Ray Bradbury, getting his thoughts about Walt Disney in this excerpt from the Walt Disney Treasures DVD, Tomorrowland.

Each show we present a high definition ride-through from a Disney Park East or a Disney Park West.   This week we see the future from the perspective of the past, from the turn of the last century into the early eighties when our featured attraction was built.  Learn about the history of, then take a ride on Epcot Center’s beloved and unfortunately extinct, “Horizons.”

We'll close this week’s show with a pair of music tracks.  The first points out exactly how wrong we can be trying to predict the future.  Have a listen to the Computer Song, from Epcot’s gratefully short-lived “Astuter Computer Review.”  Then, we tap into the very heart of Disney optimism, with Epcot’s now retired parade anthem, “Celebrate the Future”.
